About Me & Our Approach

Our focus is on creating a happy and harmonious lifestyle for both dog and human

Navigating you towards the path of success

Many dog owners love their precious companions, but at times can feel overwhelmed with everyday situations, creating tension and unbalance in the home. That's where we want to help and guide you through the struggles and turn them into achievable goals that both you and your dog will enjoy. We know first-hand just how tough it can feel at times, that’s why we want to be there to support you through your training journey.

Not only do we look at the dog’s welfare and training, but we need to ensure you are feeling confident and happy with your dog too. To create an effective training plan, everyone needs to be on board.

A Little bit about me & my family....

My name is Lorna, I am a qualified Dog Trainer and member of the IMDT (Institute of Modern Dog Trainers), with many years spent volunteering and working with dogs both in rescue and in the home environment.

My passion for dog training stems from a lifelong love of animals and a dedication to help dogs and their carers build a happy and harmonious relationship. I love learning in order to further develop my skill sets and knowledge, I do so by regularly attending workshops, courses and seminars.

By continuing to devote my spare time to training my own dog, she teaches me new and invaluable lessons every day, learning how to overcome and adapt training to suit her needs. She’s also more than happy with her role as chief treat and toy tester! She is a wonderful companion, although she can be testing at times! Willow is a Hungarian wirehaired Vizsla who keeps me entertained with her daily antics; she's full of energy and eager to learn. She only has two modes: super speedy (hence her nickname, Wizzy Woos) and asleep. She gives everything her all at a hundred miles an hour, so she needs plenty of sleep to recover from all her efforts.

My previous dog, dear Archie, a Westie x Schnauzer, was quite the opposite in nature—very easy-going and didn’t need or want much in life. As long as he was supplied with food, life was great. He made a great dog to practice new training methods on, as nothing phased him; he just took everything in his stride and was the best boy.

I've also fostered several dogs of all ages and breeds while working for a rescue. Each and every one came with a unique set of characteristics, and it was fun getting to know their personalities.
